Pre-departure Week

After an intensive week of preparation and classes 13 undergraduate St. Edward's University business students and 3 professors are ready to embark on a month-long study abroad that promises to be educational, adventuresome, and fun! Check into this site now and again to follow our adventures.

Prior to our departure we had the pleasure of hearing from Mr. Fred Bednarski, the renowned UT soccer-style UT football kicker from Darrell Royal's first football team. Mr. Bednarski spent the first 13 years of his life in a Nazi labor camp in Poland. He shared his personal story and gave us a glimpse of Poland in the 1930s and 1940s -- helping us better understand the history of one of the countries we are about to visit.

Armed with a few words and phrases and hopefully LIGHT packing, we are all about to make a trip of a life time! Stay tuned!
